Photograph 8 shows the NC blade milling machine for smaller-sized propellers. The characteristics of the machine are the 6-palletized horizontal machining center and DNC computerized for exclusive use. A huge amount of calculations are required for NC data preparation, however, with the NC milling machine for smaller-sized propellers, the function of NC data preparation is provided within the machine itself. About forty-thousand kinds/types of propellers can be milled with the various different combinations of diameter, pitch etc. being controlled freely.
